About the event
A gathering to welcome the year of the Fire Horse. Slight education on the year of the snake we are leaving,a nd the year of the fire horse we are entering.
Since this is the Chinese Lunar New Year, I wanted to honor the tradition in a thoughtful and respectful way without misrepresenting it. We’ll be using red envelopes as a symbol of good fortune and blessings, but instead of placing money inside, we’ll write positive, uplifting messages.
The envelopes will be passed around, and each person will receive one at random — a message meant to offer encouragement, intention, and positive energy for the new lunar year.
